Transformation
is the creation and change of a whole new form, function
or structure. It's about creating something new that
has never existed before and coud not be predicted fom
the past. Creating
a shift in the way the world is perceived (outside-in)
can help some people transform the way they learn, grow
and produce the results they truly desire.
But
all too often the change process involves reshaping
people's patterns of thinking
(inside-out) with the intent of helping them
overcome barriers or learn to do things differently.
This requires reframing.
In
most cases the focus for change is on people improving
on what they do already to maintain current relationships
and interactions with others (bottom-up).
To
reach higher level of consciousness you have to be an
observer of your thoughts, emotions and sensations.
This outside-in perspective enables us to understand
what limits us. What is unknown to us cannot hep us
unless we have faith or a belief that much of who we
are is hidden from us.
This
level of awareness helps us explore our spiritual nature
(top-down) from
which we receive inspiration and insights into where
our real potential lies.

Robert
Assaglio's 'Egg of Being' provides a map of who you
are. At the heart is the personal self that experiences
material life in all its forms and sensations. It happens
in the moment. At a higher level of consciousness we
can manage and direct our personalities rather than
being directed by it. We gain control of our lives and
create our own future by imposing our will. We create
our reality through our thoughts. as a result we can
choose to be positive, happy and purposeful in everything
we do.
Coaching
for Transformation is about becoming the master of our
own personality - not a slave to it. Find out what's
involved - read Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now".
When coaching for transformation, I am helping you use
the power of your will to transform your spirit or true
self into practical action. This is where real happiness
resides.
We
give meaning to our goals which takes the form of our
values. Those goals are careful deliberated and options
are considered before we make our choice to act. Even
then our decisions have to be affirmed, planned for
to get finally implemented. It's all a question of will,
desire, passion and commitment to act.

Creativity
is not just about insight. It is a process of transformation
that can be learned and coached for. The diagram below
outlines five main stages.

1.
Preparation is concerned with bringing out everything
we know already - analysing the task, gathering data,
looking for patterns, trying out ideas and questioning
assumptions
2.
Frustration sets in when existing knowledge will
not solve the problem. The habitual ways of thinking
are not working so we need to consider new possibilities
and new territories. We are then ready to explore the
unknown and enter the changezone.
3.
Incubation is the time when we need to cultivate
our curiosity and tap our unconscious mind. We sleep
on the problem or go for a walk to get inspiration.
4.
Insights emerge when we give birth to a new idea
or see things in a new way. The ideas seem to have come
from nowhere, but it actually emerges from subconscious
thinking drawn from a lifetimes experience.
5.
Working out what can be done to test the insights
and turn them into action in the real world is the final
challenge.
