Charter
of Practice

| As
a professional coach I
adopt the core capabilities required by the European
Mentoring & Coaching Council. I follow
its code of ethics and guidelines for good practice. You
can be assured that I will act within the highest standards
of accountability, confidentiality, responsibility and
integrity at all times. |

My
Aim
I
am committed to providing a high-quality professional coaching
service designed to serve the needs and interests of all my
clients. My aim is to build a long-term relationship with
them, supporting their efforts to achieve all their life and
work goals.
As
well as achieving my client's goals I help them learn new
skills and behaviours that will open up new possibilities.
I also offer insights into how they can shift their "way
of being" from habits to free choices and from procrastination
to positive action. My clients will be able to do more and
be more than they ever thought possible.
My Values
I
believe in mutual respect, collaborative action, equality
and diversity. I will behave with integrity, honesty amd professionalism
at all times. I coach to the human soul, looking for the deeper
changes that can transform the quality and meaningfulness
of people's lives.
Guarantees
I will make every effort to provide clients with the hours
contracted to a high standard. Should I make a mistake I will
seek to put it right to their satisfaction. I ask all my clients
to sign a joint Coaching Agreement which outlines what is
expected of of both parties.
Courtesy
In
all conversations and communications I will maintain a high
level of courtesy and good humour with clients, their families,
employers and their customers as appropriate. I will reply
promptly to all and any enquiries. I will listen carefully,
question sensitively and take my clients seriously at all
times.
I
will always put my client's interests first, having absolute
faith in their ability, potential and resourcefulness to succeed,
treating them as experts in their own life and work.
Information and Assistance
Within
the limits of ensuring the confidentiality of other clients,
I will provide all the information and assistance that I can,
to fulfil any agreements to he highest standards.
I
will provide forms, exercises and web-based resources to help
clients bring together information that can assist them in
identifying the barriers to, and opportunities for, change.
Fairness
I
will seek to be fair and honest in all aspects of my relationship
with clients. Occasions do arise when I am ethically obliged
to deal with issues that make the coaching relationship unworkable.
When this happens I refer such clients to another coach or
a health professional.
I
advise my clients immediately should I feel that a conflict
of interest exists that could stop me being objective. What's
more, if a client is engaged in illegal activities I am obliged
to terminate the Coaching Agreement.
When
working with private clients the initial coaching session
is always complimentary. If fees are not paid monthly, in
advance, I reserve the right to postpone or cancel any future
sessions.
Confidentiality
My
highest priority is the wellbeing of my clients. I will therefore
maintain a high level of integrity and trust throughout the
relationship. I will at all times respect the confidentiality
of existing and past clients and will not divulge any information
unless required to do so by law.
Time Allocation
I
will allocate sufficient time to be available for the session
times agreed and remuneration will be apportioned and paid
in advance for this allocation. Between formal coaching sessions,
occasional communications via email or short conversations
over the phone are welcomed to help mainatin clarity and focus.
The
length and frequency of coaching sessions is negotiable beyond
those specified in the Coaching Agreement, subject of course
to availability. A range of options and packages are available.
