The Second Chakra

Your attachments and relationships

Getting connected
To connect with the feelings of energy in your second chakra, focusing your attention on your best friend, soul mate or marriage partner. This chakra resonates through your need for close relationships with other people and things that you can have some control over. This includes employees, money, possessions, etc.

Main Features
This chakra is the foundation of our desires and creative energy. We bond with specific ideas and beliefs as well as specific individuals. It helps us generate an aspect of our identity that defines what we are and what we are not. It's about getting control and surviving through the choices we make for ourselves.

Symbolic Issues
We gain considerable spiritual energy we get from other people outside our family or social group. They bring into our lives - and we into theirs - messages about our own strengths and weaknesses. This is the essence of the outside-in and inside-out dynamic of change. It explores the duality of life which requires the balancing of two forces. It helps us to explore the paradoxical nature of relationships - the yin/yang, male/female, good/bad aspects of our existence. They enable us to make judgements and attract to ourselves relationships that help us to get to know ourselves better. A Change Coach can fulfil this role.

Questions for a Change Coach
How do people define creativity ? In what ways do they see themselves as creative ? Do they follow through on their creative ideas ?

How often do people direct their creative energies into negative forms of expression - say by embellishing the facts to support a point of view ?

Have the people you are working with felt used by others ? What steps have they taken to heal the hurt ?

What is the person's personal code of honour or ethics ? Do they compromise them depending on the situation they find themselves in ?

Do they have a controlling nature ? Do they engage in power plays in relationships ? How do they see themselves in such relationships?

Do survival or loss of face issues dictate their choices ?

What is stopping that person from pursuing the goals they want for themselves ?
