Creativity requires three principles to be at work when you get stuck for ideas:

ATTEND to your INTENTIONS to give them focus and clarity
ESCAPE from your ASSUMPTIONS and belief systems
MOVE to EXPLORE your imaginary thoughts and connections

Foster behaviours that help you to:

Pause and notice what's going on
Seek to understand other points of view
Refocus a topic by connecting new ideas
Look closer and analyse things from different perspectives
Use tools that support imagination such as:
Brainstorming - harvesting ideas
Using analogies and metaphors
Wordplay - visualisation, reversals, alternatives, etc.
